Tough going for Diss team, taking on one of the regions Giants.
A tough game was expected against one of the regional Giants and tough going it was on a heavy, sticky, cut up pitch.
Diss were off on a flier as George Jones with away try after two minutes. Bury followed shortly from a Diss error with a slippery ball to take a try. Then drove Diss back again to their second try.
Quick thinking from Diss Scrum half John Webster, blindsiding Bury with a short dash from a free ball to claim a try. Strong play from Bury, with two further tries before half time. 24 - 10.
Great commitment and lively play from Diss couldn't hold back Bury, beating Diss at the breakdowns then driving on to claim four more tries in the second half. Final score 48 - 10
