Great game under lights.

A highly competitive and entertaining game played under floodlights (the first for the majority of players) against a spirited and well drilled Bury side.
A big thank you to Bury for turning out and supporting this Friday evening game and curry night to raise funds for the forthcoming tour to Holland.
Diss started the game with only one boy from the successful Norfolk cup winning squad from the previous week and used this opportunity to give a run out to other squad members. It was good to welcome back Harvey, Tom S and Campbell after there recent injuries.
Bury started the stronger side while Diss found their feet and organised. Bury were soon four tries up with some good work from both forwards and backs, at this point a white wash looked on the cards but the Diss boy's lifted their game to finish the half strongly with a try of their own.
At half time a few subs where made and the second half was a more even affair and Diss started to claw their way back in to the game scoring two fine tries of their own. With the clock ticking down Diss chose to run the ball at every opportunity trying to score an equalizing try and unfortunately while trying to break out of their own 22 a momentary breakdown in communication saw a pass intercepted by Bury to run in a further try under the posts.
With only seconds left on the clock Diss turned over the ball from the restart and the ball finished up with Joe H who scythed through Bury to score, the conversion was kicked. Final score 22-29, well done to both teams.
