Diss U14's arrived at West Norfolk wanting to continue their recent form especially as a win would guarantee a place in the Norfolk RFU Plate final at the Big Norfolk Weekend at Diss in May. The coaches had asked again for the intensity level to be high from the kick off and as we are seeing week after week now they were duly committed. Within minutes Finlay Martin powered through to score the first try and this set the tempo for the rest of the half. Further tries scored by Finlay, Joe Jermy, Lucas Dade-Ricketts, Stanley Spurdens (2) and Ben Waters (2) meant that at half time Diss lead by 50 points to nil. All the available subs came on at the break and as the second half started it was witnessed that their was a renewed vigor in the WN play. Diss matched the step up in pace and Ben Faulkner was next to get on the score sheet closely followed by Lucas Dade-Ricketts again. West then had their best period of the game and by keeping the ball in the hands of a sizeable front row they slowly and repeatedly made repeated pick and drive moves and scored a number of good tries. Diss decided to match this play and Lucas Dade-Ricketts set off on a tremendous run and scored his hat-trick try. WN managed another converted try in the last few minutes to draw the second half, but the win was already secured by Diss. 19-69
