Diss played a friendly match at home against Swaffham on Sunday 22nd January

Game 1 (10 mins each way). Swaffham kicked off with a long kick, received by a Diss player, two quick passes, finally to Theo Underwood who ran the wing to score the first try for Diss. Joel Bond converted. Diss continued, running and passing along the line, ending with Tommy Elkins sprinting over the line for Diss second try. More controlled passing left Ben Humphreys to collect a pass and pushing through the defence to score his first try. With a strong defence and quick hands Diss ran through, with Ben scoring again. More progressive passes Theo scored his second. To finish the half, Ben scored another. Joe converted 5 of 6 tries. Diss 40 Swaffham 0.
Second half, Diss continued to run away with the game Ben scored his fourth try. A good forward drive to the line, this time Joel took the ball down for a try. Tom Jacka (scrum half) collected the ball from a maul to dash over the line to try. Tom recieved the ball again, scurried around the defence to score again. Then Swaffham pushed over the line following an infringement to score a try and convert it. Tommy Elkins scored again. Joel failed to convert this one. Final score Diss 73 Swaffham 7.

Game 2 Swaffham came back stronger, held out with lots of midfield play until Joel received the ball ran in to score again. Diss took a quick free kick taking Swaffham by surprise tom ran in unchallenged to score again. Theo ran the right wing to score another try. Euwen picked up a loose ball at the try line to touch it over the line for his first try. Joel converted all four tries. Half time Diss 28 Swaffham 0
Second half, a forward drive from Diss ended in a melee Archie took the ball over to a try. Another series of passes, the ball went to Euwen who dodged a couple of defenders to score again. A great run through the middle from theo, then tacked at the try line though he was able to set the ball back for John Webster to pickup and drop over the line for a try. Diss played extremely well, running and supporting, looking to pass when a challenge approached, the forwards done their bit winning most scrums, rucks and mauls. Not taking anything away from the defence who held strong throughout. Swaffham were outplayed but kept trying right to the end, without dropping their heads. Final score Diss 39 Swaffham 0 well done again Diss.
