With the tail end off hurricane Angus passing over Diss RFC it was game on for Cambridge and Diss.
This turned out to be a battle royal up front for both sets of forwards which did not let up for the full eighty and both squads were a credit to their clubs.
However Luke Miller opened proceeding with a well worked try from Charlie Hay feeding the perfect off load.
Cambridge came back with an unconverted try, but soon after from a scrum on the Cambridge 20 yard line Alex Leeder came flying down the blindside to score the second try which he converted.
Soon Diss were awarded a penalty which Alex Leeder placed through the middle of the posts with great ease.
Cambridge came back with a well worked try using the full with of the pitch. this was soon answered be a breakaway try for Diss by Anton Limlei who is proving to be a welcome addition to the Diss squad.
The Diss Colts turned up today to play some enjoyable rugby together and thanks to Cambridge they had to dig deep to produce one of there best games yet.
