With a good turnout on another busy Sunday morning at Diss RFC, the Colts turned out to play a friendly with their good friends and rivals Holt RFC. It was a fitting squad to play in the last fixture for 2017, as the Colts players ended an era, with players destined now to play in the senior teams at Diss.
Diss started off very sluggish and Holt were on a mission to make an impact, therefore it was try for try in the first half with the forwards having a good work out in the damp conditions. The second half did not disappoint as Diss started to dominate and came away winners 43-20. Tries by Luke Miller, John Joe Smith, Ed Bullock, Tom Watson, Angus McDaniel and Charlie Hay. Ed Bullock converted 4.
The Diss Colts coach commented "A good day of rugby was had by all and we all look forward to seeing all the squad progressing further at Diss RFC. Thank you to all at Diss RFC not only for this season, but for every year you have made it possible for these guys to get the most from playing rugby."
