Sunday 30th October Diss U16s v Cambridge

Today Diss hosted Cambridge. A team they've not played for a while, an unknown challenge.
What a great game this turned out to be. Plenty of everything except foul play.
Diss kicked off, a testing nervous start from both sides. After about ten minutes, Diss were awarded a scrum, the ball passed out to the wing to James who made a dash for it then offloaded to Nat to make a tackle avoiding run to the posts, where he was tackled down, but managed to pop the ball down for a try. Kyle the conversion over the bar. Both teams playing to win every ball, making tackles, rucks and mauling. Diss seemed to have got the better of the first half, until Cambridge with a forward drive that penetrated Diss defences with a converted try.
Both teams with forced errors, knock ons and mistakes. Again Cambridge drove towards the line with a maul, the ball carrier broke away and dived over the line for another converted try.
The second half was very tight, neither team allowing the other any space to run, very intense.
Diss were fading again, being slowly driven back, they didn't have much more to offer. Defended they certainly did, until Cambridge took another converted try, which sealed the game.
