Diss U16 v Lowesoft & Yarmouth. Norfolk Cup

Diss travelled to Lowestoft for their cup qualifying game, then were disappointed to find that they only had thirteen players available. Following the one minute silence in respect for remembrance day, they game got underway. Diss on the back foot all the way playing two men short. They had their breakthroughs, but couldn't develop them but under up defending heavily. Midway through the the first half L & Y had a breakthrough on the right wing, five metres short of the line, Diss to bundle him out, but he copped the ball over his shoulder before going into touch. The ball landed into the hands of a support player who was delighted to take the ball over the game line for a try. But failed to convert. L & Y getting the better of the of the game, who have developed a good rolling maul taking a second try from Diss then converted. Diss had suffered an injury before the half time break, then unfortunately lost another player. Diss conceded the game before the second half. No contest fifteen players to twelve. Final score L & Y 12 - 0 to Diss. Shame as Diss are better than that.
To complete the fixture the teams played another game. L & Y loaning a player to play fifteen to twelve again, both teams scoring two tries each with one conversion from L & Y. George getting both tries for Diss. Final score Lowestoft & Yarmouth 12 - 10 Diss
