Diss U16s v North Walsham U16s 19th February 2017

Diss U16s played hosts to North Walsham U16s today. A busy day at the club.
North Walsham and Diss both arrived with fourteen players each. Diss U15s were at the club for a training session. That ended helping both teams top up and adding substitutes to both teams, we're very greatful of this.
After their last match against Bury two weeks ago, Diss expected another tuff, difficult game.
Usually a strong team, Walsham must have travelled without key players, as Diss found them not so strong.
Walsham kicked off to start the first, Diss took possession and held it most of the way through the first half. Tries from Nat Strange, Ben Brown and two from James Webster, all ran in tries under the posts. Which made it an easier job for Kyle Harwood Lefevre to convert them all. Giving Diss a 28 - 0 lead at half time.
Walsham had settled and shown some strong play in mid pitch from their pack. The Diss boys worked hard, running, rucking, mauling and tackling that proved to much for Walsham as U15 player Ryan Taffe Fowle ran in two tries, one converted out of hand by George Jones. A try from U15s Aidan Dixon, unconverted. Walsham got it together and drove Diss back over the line then touch down for a try, unconverted. James Webster took a third try for hat trick running in again under the posts for U15s Max Lindle, standing in as scrum half, that had done an excellent job picking out then distributing the ball, he converted the goal kick.
Walsham played to the end and claimed a final pushover try. Unconverted.
Another good days rugby played by all. All in the good spirit of the game.
