Diss too strong for an improving Norwich side

Norwich U16's are a much improved side and played with determination throughout a tough game for them. The early exchanges were quite even before a well worked backs move created an opportunity for Ben Waters to get the first score 5-0
Shortly afterwards Norwich tried to kick out of defence in their own 22 and Stan Spurdens charged down the kick and ran onto the ball to score a converted try 12-0
With the pressure reapplied on Norwich Diss won ball from the breakdown which resulted in Bryce Cochrane darting through a gap 17-0
Diss caught the ball from the restart and passed to Stan Spurdens who set off through the Norwich defence on a fantastic run to score his second 24-0
As the game approached 1/2 time Tom Parks-lewis kicked through and, chasing up his own kick, collected the ball and was only stopped just short of the line. The ball was quickly recycled and passed out to Drew Harris on the wing to score in the corner. 29-0
Diss put on all their finishers at 1/2 time and the fresh legs provided additional drive. Deep into Norwich territory Josh Hayhoe set off on another of his aggressive runs gaining ground before the backs received the ball and Joe Jermy scored. 34-0
Having caught the ball from the kickoff Tom Parks -Lewis ran from the Diss half to score 41-0
Tom Logan was next to score from a strong run through. 46-0
The Diss backs were playing the ball out wide where they could and good interplay between Joe Jermy and Drew Harris meant Drew could score in the corner.51-0
Stan Spurdens had a fantastic game and he finished his performance off by scoring a hat trick try to make the score 63-0
Norwich had continued to compete throughout and when Diss tried to kick across field out of defence they were rightly punished by Norwich who had worked the ball wide and scored in the corner. 63-5. the try scorer was nominated by Diss as their man of the match.
Finlay Martin was next to score to make it 70-5
With the end of the game nearing Joe Jermy seized the opportunity to also gain his hat trick try 77-5
We particularly thank Norwich for playing on beyond the 50 point score line to give those 1/2 game players who had come on the chance to play - thank you.
Norwich Coach Andy Pott chose Joe Jermy as the Anglian Demolition sponsored man of the match
