From the off Holt struggled with the size and physicality of the Diss forwards with Junior Horne celebrating his return with a typically direct try. The following 20 minutes saw Diss camped in the Holt half but unable to finish off a number of chances. After a series of punishing scrums Holt had to request they went uncontested but this didn’t stop the Diss dominance as 2 further tries from Scott Deacon and new centre Jake Girdler were added for a 15-0 half time lead.
Holt rallied briefly at the start of the second half and deserved their try after a period of pressure in the Diss half, this however galvanised the hosts and the offloading of the forwards and the lively Dougie Moir led to two tries each for the free running Josh Monks and Pete Bray. Impact player Ethan Page crashed over for another while young winger Tony Miller finally scored for Diss, the conversions came from the ever reliable Seb Goodge and Matt Trede.
