Diss Saracens 39 : 11 Norwich 2s

Some shrewd tactical selections by skipper Seb Goodge saw a large and powerful Saracens team overcome a typically spirited Norwich side who competed throughout but struggled to win scrum ball on a soggy pitch. After conceding an early penalty the Saracens woke up and a series of powerful drives eventually saw Ethan Page squeeze over for a try from short range followed by another by the deceptively quick Pete Bray playing in the back row. A powerful break by Josh Monks was well supported by Ali Thomas who ran a clever line under the posts for a third try before Norwich hit back with a well taken try of their own.

The second half saw the Diss team continue to turn pressure into points with Goodge marshalling the forwards from scrum half allowing Monks to score from a push over try and Bray to get a second from a driving maul after another great take in the lineout by youngster Jacob Page. The returning Trevor Miller ran well in the mid field with Vic Garnham and debutant George Baker showed great potential before Alan Goymour and Adam Rogers scored tries with Goodge adding the conversions.
