Diss Saracens 37 : 10 Norwich Union - 5th November 2016

Diss played a Norwich Union side, filled with age and certainly a dominance in the forwards in early exchanges and the first half. However, Diss fielded a side with youth, backed up by winning form which led to a 37-10 win in wet and windy conditions.

The full match was played with not so much momentum or a free flowing game as in previous games. With the weather cold for the first time in the season and with rain coming down hard at intervals throughout the game, this did not make it easy for a fast flowing game. But at various times throughout the match Diss were the side to have the upper hand. Especially with a strong running game opening up play with Paul Cayley, Adam Goymour, Adam Williamson and that of Angus Williams who scores his 3rd try in two games for Diss Saracens.

The score at half-time was 25-5. Diss scoring another 5 tries in this match to get the 5 point win, with Paul Cayley, Angus Williams, Jay Kindleysides, Joe Kindleysides and Jordan Dunning scoring. Adam Goymour converting 3 of those tries and scoring 2 penalties, 1 from the halfway line.

Diss have earnt themselves a well deserved break next week, before their next fixture against Dereham (second from bottom) away in two weeks time.
