Diss III 41 : 10 Broadland

Diss were the first to score through a move started by Will Edwards and with the ball passing through the hands of skipper Goodman, O farrel and finished off by Ben Holdsworth. Broadland returned themselves with a try soon after as Diss switched off at a lineout. The game ebbed and flowed with Charlie Oakes making various runs, Will Foote making dashing runs followed by fellow veteran Dicky Blomfeld. Diss broke the deadlock with another try through Holdsworth as Germany and Garnham did some neat work after a line out and Dunga broke through a tackle to set up an attack which was finished by Holdsworth. Another try was scored before halftime by Diss as Goodman made a break with a crafty scissor move and Edwards fed O Farrel to pass for Holdsworth to score his 3rd try of the half.

The second half was all one way traffic as Holdsworth scored a fourth try of the game after good work by Fidler and Barratt and O Farrel scored a try from centre after Goodman made the initial break and got through the Broadland defence. Tom Butler added a try from close range also after good work by Blomfeld at a Diss line out and the game was finished off by a long distance try by Barrett who broke through some space. Broadland to their credit kept going and scored a second try of the game for them late on but as the darkness began to fall on the pitch the whistle was blown and Diss ran out convincing winners. Ben Holdworth was awarded man of the match for scoring a first half hat trick and four in total.
