Diss 3rds 53 : 12 Colchester 3rds

.. and it got more youthful when veteran captain Benny Goodman got stretchered off after 10 minutes with no score on the board.

Diss were on the front foot straight from the start and scored first through a try by Adam Rogers who ran in from his own half after good work by a Diss scrum. Diss continued to pressure the Colchester line and midway through the half winger Ben Brooks went over. Colchester counter attacked and managed to score a pushover try themselves from close range. Diss finished the stronger side of the half by scoring another try through Adam Rogers who was a menace all game.

The second half brought changes everywhere with Andrew Langham Smith coming on, Pete Bray, Paul Coomber and Henry Passmore. Diss began to dominate every aspect of play on the pitch and with Adam Williamson who replaced Goodman pulling the strings at fly-half Diss began to score freely. Rogers added a try to make it 3 in the match, Paul Coomber scored 2 tries out wide one from inside his own half, seventeen year old colt Jacob Page went over for his second senior try for the club also. Colchester came back into the game briefly by scoring a try of their own but Diss replied with a score out wide by Fergus Newman and a long range try by James O Farell. A total of nine tries were scored by Diss with four converted by full-back Naz Girgin.
