Diss thirds continued their form for the local game against a weak Beccles side that needed to borrow players before the kick-off and again such is the Diss spirit players again played for the opposition. Diss had a few players welcomed back in a Diss shirt as Chris Howard along with Warren Wilby returned to the blue and whites after a long absence by the pair. Diss had picked a side with a mixture of all age groups from teens, Charlie Hay, Callum Howe, Gregor Shipperlee to fifty year olds such as Andy Tomson and ran in an overall count of 15 tries. Andrew Thorpe returning to action for his first game of the season started the ball rolling by who grabbing three tries in the first half. Beccles tried their hearts out but were outgunned and out manned and Diss carried on the pressure to be 52-0 up at the whistle for half time. Several more tries followed and more players were given to Beccles and swapped in to make the numbers up and to their credit Beccles scored a couple of tries themselves so they could take something away from the game. Tries were scored by Andy Thorpe, Warren Wilby ,Gregor Shipperlee , Naz Girgin , Stu Popplewell , Billy King , Chris Howard , Ben Holdsworth , Callum Howe , Jo Sides and Stephen Macqueen. The action gets cranked up a notch by the away game to Southwold with Diss playing the second string from the coast who currently occupy 2nd with Diss sitting third in the table.
