Captain Benny Goodman asked for his side to build a platform for where they could turn the game into victory and Diss 3rds continued their run of high scoring form by beating local rivals Crusaders 2nd team by a convincing margin.

Crusaders made the best start of the two sides as Diss were sloppy and Crusaders came close to scoring. Diss managed to get their game plan going and decided to pass the ball out wide straight away for Hans Jordan to score a try out wide. Soon after Diss broke away again and the ball was passed through the hands again with a superb pass by Seb Goodge through to Adam Williamson who set up the winger Jordan again.

Crusaders came back and score a try of their own through good work at a line out. This refocused Diss and soon were on the attack. During the first half captain Benny Goodman showed he can take a hit after a mazy run led to an abrupt stop by his opposite number. Diss added further tries in the first half by Ewan Lawton, Owen Atkinson and Adam Williamson. Involved in all of these tries was George Gooderham who had another good game at number eight and Will Foote who later played for the opposition.

The second half followed the same patter as the first as Crusaders managed to get on the score board a couple of times as Diss made changes at half time but Diss themselves score four tries in the half also to keep a healthy distance in the scores. The best try of the second half was Jack Germany who caught the ball from the kick off and practically run the entire length of the pitch to score. Jo Sides playing flanker broke away not long after a maul collapsed to score a try from distance under the posts also. Another try was scored by Patrick Lawton who scored from close range and Fergus Newman scored near the end of the game from the half way line.
