Diss put out on paper the best side possible but still came a long second best to a strong Walsham side. Diss began the better side through attacks set up by Pete Chartier at fly-half but when Walsham got any ball in a bit of space they scored tries. A long kick from Diss found the WalshAM full back in space and he ran through to score out wide. Diss kept battling but once any ball got to Walshams backs in space they scored. Diss at times managed to attack and came close to scoring on a few occasions but only had a penalty scored by Barnaby Chenery to show for it. Walsham finished with five tries in the first half. The second half continued in the same vein with Walsham dominating in the backs and scored five more tries in the second half mainly through their pacey backs and even though Diss fought hard they were out gunned in every department.
